PCI's customers include many Public Sector sites - Her Majesty's Customs & Excise, Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Pollution (now the Environment Agency), The Office for National Statistics, English Nature, Leeds City Council - several leading finance organisations, for example Ulster Bank, Mortgage Express and the Lowndes Lambert Group - as well as catalogue companies such as Innovations and Black Box and major corporate's like Reed Publications and Amerex Petroleum. Our quality of work is such that any of the sites where services were supplied will provide a reference.

Amerex Petroleum is an International Oil Trading company where PCI supplies both Contractual Technical Support and ad-hoc support to their Trading Desk and Administrative areas. This site uses both Microsoft Windows NT Server/Workstation and Novell Netware. The NT LAN has links to Oil Price feeds and an ISDN line (via a Router) to their ISP.

HM Customs & Excise, HM Inspectorate of Pollution, DoE (Northern Ireland) Water Services and English Nature are all simple supply contracts, covering Digi Network Products, RAM and PC sundries.

Leeds City Council and Ulster Bank have purchased specialised Print Servers for implementation on their heterogeneous array of computer systems. The Print Servers installed allow any user to print on any printer. With all the printers as sharable devices, it has removed the need for individuals to have their own printing capability and thus saved resources.

The Office for National Statistics required an organisation to upgrade the Processors, RAM and Hard Disks of some 50 'mixed manufacturer' PCs. The prime objective was to complete this work within a very short time-scale - PCI completed the entire job in two - very long - man-days. Innovations were a similar task, they lacked the manpower to complete a series of major upgrades. Once again, PCI were prepared to work out of normal hours to get the work done quickly and with the minimum of inconvenience to the day to day operation of this very fast moving Company.

Mortgage Express and Reed Publications are both clients were we have supplied manpower on a short-term contract basis. With Mortgage Express it was a need to 'roll out' the new version of Novell Netware to their Users - in many cases upgrading their PCs - and to ensure that all of their external communication links operate. Reed Publications required assistance to upgrade to SCO Open Server 5 whilst installing new hardware at the same time. With both these clients, PCI was complementing and working with their own IT staff.

The Lowndes Lambert Group had a specific Windows problem that required an engineer whose sole task it was to track down the problem and put forward a solution. Whilst Lowndes Lambert have more IT personnel than PCI, they have all got their own functions to perform and could not therefore dedicate 100% of their time to this particular problem. PCI supplied a person with the right expertise on a day-to-day basis until the problem was resolved.

Executive Hotel Services utilise PCI's ad-hoc Technical Support for their Novell Netware LAN.
